I mean, if we're going to extrapolate: whites are a minority of the global population.

I was a minority at my high school. Was close to 50/50 then. Not close to 50% now and the school is awful now.

ETA: In the conversation in the USA, increasingly "minority" just means "black." Every other minority group is typically ignored.
