This is my experience. I’ve hired prol 25 -30 people over the past 15 years. It’s rare to get a qualified minority applicant which I think needs to be addressed far more than stupid DEI quotas. Start with education and skill building. I would love to have more minorities on staff as I absolutely believe a diverse staff (from multiple aspects) is a better staff. But it’s hard to find and some Groups in my organization have lost minority personnel to other companies that are paying up to meet DEI quotas. DEI quotas are actually doing more harm than good.
We have a pretty decently sized minority workforce, but they're all Latinos, Asians and a few Indians (from India). We have one black employee who does admin stuff, no professionals. It's beneficial to us to have employees from all walks of life because we work in a forward-facing business and it's helpful to have people who can relate to our customers.
We have multiple headhunting firms sending us candidates. We work remote and will hire you literally anywhere you are. We haven't stopped looking for people since the day I started and we will interview anyone qualified and have no idea what race or even sex the person may be until the interview unless it's obvious from his/her name. We've interviewed one black person, a female from Alabama. We offered her, but I think she got a huge counteroffer from her job so she stuck around. That is the extent of our black applicants. It really seems impossible to believe tbh, but it's the truth. I have no idea where these black professionals are supposed to be. We're actively looking for literally anyone qualified and hardly find them.

minority
I think I was the minority when I lived in south side. Does that mean percentage or race?
