People think he's a good mayor because he's spending hand over fist and selling the city off to real estate developers. So you get new stadiums and sport events with a gentrified downtown but eventually the bill will come. He's just the right man to make sure his own ethnic community ends up being the bag holders one way or another.

It is Obama in microcosm. No president did so little to stop the greatest loss of African-American wealth than how Obama responded to the subprime mortgage crisis: bailout for the banks, not the homeowners.

What Bham needs is a Tommy Battle. That man has turned Huntsville into a boom town. Fiscal responsibility, great education, free enterprise, created good jobs in his tenure as mayor. I voted for him when he ran for governor and would do so again. Man has a great business mind and knows how to bring growth to a city and maintain it.
