The shoe toss was more symbolic of something Florida fans had been watching with Mullen for weeks previous.
General lack of interest, "we'll do recruiting after the season" type comments, etc.
2020 was pure autopilot. We had Trask, Pitts, Toney, and a good running game. Mullen might as well not have even been there.

I think you're right, Mullen certainly did himself no favors, and trended a bit odd there for a while.
