He's going to sit for three years and then suck nuts in the NFL. I'm not sure what people see in this guy. He's 24, has multiple torn ACLs, won't play until he's 27, and the Falcons won't get the valuable rookie contract years out of him because Cousins is already getting paid a ton.

There is no way around it. This was catastrophically stupid.

I beleive Cousins has a no trade clause. Penix will sit for 2 years minimum. Could be 3.

Not sure what we are doing. Only way this turns out well, is if Cousins isn't healthy.

Kirk has a front loaded deal with 90% of the money in first 2 years. So your 3 years of sitting is misleading. If you don’t think something like this can work, just look at the greenbay packers. Plus with Kirk starting, falcons likely won’t have a top pick next year.

Penix is a good qb but exactly that...24 already with multiiple acls. I think with the depth at wr and edge you have to go wr edge and cb 123.. I would have took Odunze there, with people jumping up and taking qbs like they have that they could have a shot at getting 2 really good players at edge and cb in the 2nd and 3rd round.
