Baseball is an entirely different animal, it's a worldwide sport and they've had their own developmental leagues for a long time.
As for basketball, I'd say the vast majority of NBA draftees are still coming from NCAA teams.

A good third of first round NBA talent no longer comes from NCAA programs. The #1 pick last year and top pick mocked this year come from France. That’s all because the game expanded globally in the late 90’s/early 2000’s to do exactly what the NFL is trying to do right now. Wouldn’t you?
