IF all 8 Baseball CWS teams are SEC teams, THAT would not be good for college baseball.

Is college baseball just dying out in the West? In the ACC? In the Big 12?

This would not be a good trend, IMO.
I think the problem is more on the West Coast than anywhere. That was historically a very strong league, but when baseball became bigger everywhere else, things stayed the same out west. The SEC programs took off, ACC got better, and even schools in the Midwest invested in facilities and started taking the sport more seriously. The only West Coast school that did anything similar was Oregon, restarting their program and building a new facility from scratch. Everyone else out there has just kind of patched holes, for the most part.

I don't know what's going to happen to the Pac-12 schools with realignment. I can't imagine the LA schools, Washington, and Oregon having any enjoyment from playing Big 10 baseball. And Stanford and Cal seem almost certain to look for some other arrangement, rather than playing ACC baseball. They simply can't afford it, as the ACC money they get will be less than what the LA schools pull in the Big 10. I just have a hard time seeing those West Coast schools throwing so much travel money at non-revenue sports.
