Why doesn't Auburn hire Turner Gill?

I personally really like the guy, he brought a serious bottom dweller who was a consistent under dog for 4 years straight and made them into a conference champion. He is very well spoken and respected and young. He would be great for recruiting. What went wrong with his interview?

Not necessarily, but the people who hold the power in Auburn certainly are. If they do hire Gill, I will issue an apology.

the guy is unproven. Let's face it. AU would like a big hire - but they missed out on Mullen. MSU will be better than AU for years to come. Gill is a nobody in college football. U guys need to quit listening to EzSPiN and think for yourselves.

Yeah so Gene Chizik is wayyyy beter than Gill, whatever as an LSU fan I would love to see them get Chizik

He's black, seriously. I'm 25, neither Auburn nor Bama will hire a black HC in my lifetime.
