There is only one regulation on the books for NIL (no pay for play). Tennessee is suing to make that regulation go away.

If they win, regulations of NIL will have been completely disallowed. It will be okay to have boosters/collectives sign contracts with players that say "you can have 2 million dollars a year if you attend UT. If you transfer elsewhere, you have to pay all the money back."

Yes, it effectively ends all regulation of NIL.

But it doesn't end all regulation. And most importantly, the schools will still be able to mitigate the effects of NIL by paying players, adding a draft, and having contracts.

Which is how the rest of the world operates.
