This is shortsighted.

Leagues need control and a ruling authority to enforce it.

If not the NCAA, then what? Another governing body would have to emerge and deal with the same issues.

NCAA is the devil we know. They do need to restructure and make bylaws in accordance with the existing environment of college football.

NCAA has become corrupt over the years only enforcing rules on less favored teams. They act like gods only ranking teams based off who they want in the playoffs while sitting back getting fat and sassy on incoming money. Yes there should be rules but not by the NCAA

I can't for the life of me understand how it is that anyone thinks any entity charged with doing what the NCAA has been charged with doing would do it any differently. No one likes the regulator, especially when they are in the regulator's crosshairs, but any conceivable regulation and regulatory body would mirror the NCAA in its entirety. You can't desire something be done about the problems in College Athletics and in the same voice express a desire to see the regulatory body eliminated. If something is to be done someone has to do it. The NCAA is currently the only entity with the ability to do so.

As far as Tennessee's issues are concerned their is almost no ambiguity about at least part of the items being investigated...they have ALWAYS been an NCAA violation. They have nothing to do with NIL or the portal or anything other than NCAA rules which have been in place forever.
