"And Tennessee Is Just The School To Bring About That Change"

That's the message that's being broadcast to recruits. This 'scandal' will be the best thing that's ever happened to Tennessee.

Reform and greater authoritative empowerment by somebody (NCAA or not) is the only way to save college athletics from its current direction.

Booster support is the lifeblood of an Athletic Conference, along with strong branding, conference affiliation, and TV monies.

The collectives that focus primarily on booster support and fail to achieve alternative revenue streams will ultimately hurt most schools in the long run as they struggle to balance donated funds for facility and fan experience improvements with uncontrolled/competitive player payments.

It's free-for-all now.

It won't be sustainable without some body of control.
