There are probably significantly more coaches and administrators who hate it and want clearer guidelines and more rules enforcement than ones who think the current situation is great and want to keep it as is. They may smack around a few programs who have gotten sloppy and out of control with the blatant pay for play, but I don't see that prompting some huge shift in the CFB world. The bigger question is the legality of placing any restrictions on NIL.

You’re right but I think the legality of limiting NIL is going to be damning at making punishment stick. I think the only “bringing it under control” is turning the players into employees but that is going to suck in so many other ways.
