I don’t think it’s sudden. He took over a 4-8 Washington team and went 25-3. He’s 5-0 against perceived better coaches in Lanning and Sark.

Now he’s in charge of arguably the biggest brand name in college football with a national recruiting footprint, top of the line facilities, and a much larger football budget.

Some people like Pate and Cubelic just call it like they see it. They’re a lot less biased/prejudiced than the average message board fan that’s spent most of their adult life being traumatized by Alabama

Cowherd is a hot take merchant but he called him the best X and O coach in the playoff. That’s not Colins own opinion, he’s just parroting something he was told by someone actually in the industry that knows what they’re looking at. He’s pretty well respected among those that know what they’re talking about though. All you’ll read around here is hurrr durrr he ain’t gon be able to recruit in the south. Never mind Ryan Days midwestern arse can recruit southern kids to move north
