I’m not claiming the 2017 Alabama group were the best ever, but were the top ranked class as far as I know. The point is that some Auburn fans are calling their 2024 class the top ranked ever, and it isn’t so
As for best, one of those Miami classes might be a candidate too

That Alabama receiver group in 2019 was ridiculously good.
