I mean it was 15 fouls for SC compared to 11 for LSU. SC also shot a higher percentage, had more rebounds, and was better at the free throw line. Officials hardly made a big difference.

SC starters had 5 fouls the whole game, the same number called on Angel Reese. Whistles made a huge impact.

Look, USC WBB is a badass team. I’m not saying they don’t deserve the W either.

LSU has an achilles heel at this point in the season & that is post depth after departure of Smith & Poole. That is the true reason for the L, best teams have the depth to overcome those breaks.

Also credit to your PG for some really clutch play down the stretch in both halves. Offense and defense. She’s a baller.

You’ve got to acknowledge this is a totally different game if ONE of those ticky tack whistles doesn’t blow. That’s totally fine if it’s consistent, but your big was given a ton of leeway in the paint.

Again, credit to USC on the finish. Doesn’t change the fact the second half was poorly officiated.

I am fully aware of Louisiana’s general reputation here, but I’m not a person who cries ref after every loss. Sometimes they legit get it wrong, and tonight was one of those times… a few times.
