The Carolinas wernt even really colonies. They were nothing more than a glorified crew.

I will reduce this to a level you may be able to understand.

The trade in agricultural commodities berween Britain and the southern colonies was very important to the empire and made trade with the north look like a pimple on the King's arse.

Both sides were making fortunes. If the British had adopted a conciliatory attitude with the south rather than being assholes, they may have won the war.

With few exceptions whenever there was a battle in the north, the colonists got their shite pushed in.
