I’m sad we are doing away with divisions. SEC west was awesome and had the best rivalries and football games in the nation.

A ton of instant classic games arose from many SEC west matchups

for five straight seasons Auburn or bama was a contestant in the national championship game.. the two combined won four in a row before we dropped the ball against FSU in 2013.

2009 - bama NC
2010 - Auburn NC
2011 - bama NC
2012 - bama NC
2013 - Auburn comes up short to FSU.

Wikipedia BCS championship

pretty damn impressive & a testament to how tough/dominant the division was

You forgot to mention that LSU was in a NC game during that span as well, in 2011. Lost to Gump, after going undefeated in the regular season, including a win at T-Town.
