Ultimately, the SEC needs to play 8 until ESPN pays us for the 9th game. No reason to just throw that card away.

I've heard the no pods/divisions. But they've yet to say how to break ties that are going to occur.

I also believe the SEC is going to 9 games (only makes sense as the conference grows). However, the # of conference games is still an ongoing debate.
