I understood it, too. Look at my post history. No Alabama fan I know has ever liked the portal. Our team dominated college football just fine without it.
But fans of other teams need to hold their powder on this. It will happen to you. If BK ends up in Ann Arbor, you LSU fans will find that school loyalty or whatever is almost nonexistent in todays college football.
I remember making fun of Auburn in 2011 for erecting a statue to a guy who had been enrolled at the school for a semester. But now that’s where we all are at. Our championships will be won and lost based on luring and retaining guys with the highest bids.
