Hey, Hawgeye, I've seen the starter lineups. Can you post a bit on where you see our mids and closers top options standing? Thanks

I did not see this yesterday to respond.

I think McEntire is going to be the important glue to this staff during the season, especially as the grind of the SEC begins. We should expect to get 5-6 innings each outing out of Smith and Molina...I really want to see that from Tygart as well, but we will see how he pans out this season.

If we can get 5-6 out of two starters a weekend, then that means we can probably use McEntire twice on the weekends, most weekends.

I really liked Koty Frank last season before his injury. I think he can help a lot. If Wood struggles or doesn't have it together, I think Frank is an option on the back end. Saying that, McEntire may be an option as well on the back end to get two appearances out of him per weekend.

I am interested in seeing Colin Fisher in this opening series. He was not one of the highest rated players in the class, but DVH sees something there.

The group of junior pitchers will be our star power (Smith, Molina, Tygart, Faherty, and Carter), but the sophomore class (Wood, Foutch, Coil, Bybee, and Dossett) of pitchers may be more important to this season.

I did, too, but it seems his speed is down from what it already was last season, but if he can keep the ball down in the zone, it may not matter.

We need 3 of the 5 to step up this year. I think Coil is there and ready.

I think Carter will be a good relief option in the 2nd half of the season. The staff will bring him back very slowly.

If Faherty can keep his control this year, he'll be a very solid middle relief/closer option. He's always good good stuff.

Lots of depth already, plus we'll get some of the freshmen back from injuries like Hunter Dietz, Tucker Holland, and maybe Hachman (though not totally sure on that one even though he wants to).
