Beginning to remind me of Tom Hermann at Texas. Got rid of all 10 assistant coaches and brought 6 dorks in with him from Houston.

Nice comparison.
Both did weird emotional things-Tom Herman kissing players Deboer crying all the time.
Both thought they were smarter than everyone else and brought their crew along with them.
At least Tom was in Mensa.

To be clear, those 10 assistants were Charlie’s Strong’s dregs he brought from Louisville, or someplace more obscure. Herman’s staff from Houston watched Case Keenum pass for 19,000+ yards.
One of Sark’s under appreciated attributes is the contacts he made working for Nick Saban, the Atlantic Falcons and Pete Carroll.
