It's crazy, but we're now a 16 team conference... and there is exactly 1 current head coach that has won a SEC championship. That's pretty incredible.

Good hire. If you were ranking SEC coaches right now, he'd have as good an argument for #2 behind Kirby as anyone. He beat Sark in the playoff. Got spanked in the NC game like Brian Kelly did at ND. No other coach in the SEC right now has done anything of note as a head coach.

They were actually in that game midway through the fourth. Kelly's team was done by the end of the first quarter, so I don't think it's really any comparison. To your overall question, I have DeBoer at two behind only Kirby.

Well, he’s the most recent to make it to a National Championship game. I guess objectively I would say

1. Kirby
2. DeBoer
3. Sark
4. Lane
5. Kelly
6. Venables
7. Drink
8. Stoops

Rest

1. Kirby obviously

Kelly and DeBoer are the only other two that have made the national championship game.
