They should have hired Coach Croom instead of Shula. Croom was a quality Man and a honorable person and knew football.
He probably would not have won at the highest level at Bama but he would have been better than Shula.


If you look beyond his record at State, he did a great job of cleaning up the football program and he laid a great foundation that led to the success Mullen had at State.
That 2010 State team was loaded with NFL talent and they were all Croom’s recruits.

Bama has never had a black Football head coach and I am not sure there is anyone right now that would be the right person for it. Plus I am not sure if any Black HC would even want that job right now.
Maybe at the next change but not right now.
JMO though.
