Josh Pate claimed before the season that he had sources inside the program that thought Wolford was the overall best assistant coach here.

It’s really hard to believe that’s the case.

It’s not just guys getting beat. It’s free rushers and completely unblocked defenders. There’s way too much confusion when defenses bring different rushers. They’re completely lost.

I think it’s certainly plausible to put some blame on the QB too. He’s supposed to identify these things before the snap and too often a guy blitzing comes completely unrecognized by the QB or the O line.

Me putting any blame on Milroe isn’t me saying he’s completely at fault. He definitely isn’t. Bust some of it is on him. It has to be. It can’t be that bad if the QB knows what he’s doing with adjusting protection.

Whatever it is it has to get fixed.

Right, which is why these stats are so eye popping and historically bad. It was a perfect storm of bad oline play plus a QB that held onto the ball too long and perhaps didn't know which protections to call(even though Saban said that was by and large the O line's responsibility.)
