That was the only important playing time he saw that year. What about the 3 years before. What about comparing freshman Jalen to Jalen against GA in the NC game. Little if any development.

He doubled his passing yards an Okalhoma and was the Heisman runnerup.

There’s no secret sauce. The coaches are teaching the QBs all the same shite. You either take it and adjust or don’t.

Hurts finally took steps to transform his game and improve mechanically after losing his job.

It’s up to the player more than anything. You guys put way too much into coaching. It’s obviously an incredibly important aspect but players are responsible ultimately for their own improvement. They have to do it. No one can do it for them.

2018 was the year the NCAA added an additional position coach. Saban went and got Jalen a dedicated QB coach outside of the OC. He went and hired Dan Enos who worked exclusively with Jalen all off season and in- season on his mechanics and reads.

Jalen developed in 2018 as a redshirt year. He was a totally different player from his two seasons prior.

He would've have been able to do so in 2016 if Blake Barnett wasn't mentally fragile.

Instead Jalen won the job after the USC game and didn't get a chance to learn how to be a QB until 2018.

This is well known. Are you a casual l?

It doesn't matter. It shows that your original take that "we never taught him the position of QB" clearly is dog shite. Enos developed Hurts over the course of that whole season. We just didn't need him to come off the bench earlier.

Who the frick do you think taught him what we saw in the SECCG?
