I watched the safety for Auburn run up and clap on the early snap at the end of the game.

I kept watching like, “Is he really triggering the early snap here?” It definitely looked like it. And it happened a few other times during the season, too.

Saban said this much in the link on another thread. He acknowledged the safety didn't do intentionally, merely to get the attention of a linebacker but said, regardless 'its a penalty'. Your eyes didn't deceive you. I hate to place blame on a ref but he was standing right there and missed it, couldn't hear it, whatever.

Saban also said the center often snapped early or late throughout the season, thinking he heard a clap.
