gave him a promotion in title to land him...
That's debatable. "Assistant Head Coach of Offense" is pretty close to "Co-OC".

Wiggins has been Alabama's receivers coach since 2019, and since 2021 has held the additional title of "assistant head coach of offense." With Alabama's current and previous offensive coordinators Tommy Rees and Bill O'Brien coaching from the booth, Wiggins has worked closely with the offense on the field during games.
A native of Los Angeles, Wiggins has been part of Alabama's recruiting efforts on the West Coast -- which included landing five-star quarterback Julian Sayin plus four-star defensive backs Zabien Brown and Peyton Woodyard from California in the 2024 high school class. Wiggins ranks second in 247 Sports' Recruiter rankings for 2024 behind former Georgia assistant Fran Brown, now the head coach at Syracuse.
"Holmon is a great person, does a really good job of developing these players," Nick Saban said in 2022. "He's had some great players play for him since he's been here. But he's done a really good job of developing those guys. They work hard for him. I think they trust and believe in him. He's a great family guy. He's got, like, six kids. Great family. His wife does a wonderful job of helping us recruit. He's a good recruiter. I can't say enough good things about him."
Wiggins received a one-year contract extension last offseason through 2024, increasing his pay to $875,000 annually -- second-most among Alabama's position coaches.
