Clemson was decimated in D today. All-American MLB sat out due to draft. As did DT. As did the #1 or #2 CB off the next draft board, who is actually fast enough to run with Brown. As did a starting safety due to the portal. The replacements? Three true freshman, one sophomore. Honestly, KY got a sweet deal by not having to face anything resembling the true Clemson defense. The actual defense is as good as ever, the offense is just the frustrating problem.

Now, truer than ever, bowls outside the playoffs are more or less exhibitions, which can be their own kind of entertaining, but should in no way be considered a metric for a team’s overall success that season.
