I get what you are saying, but who would deserve more than them? I think they are definitely a top 4 team, and thye beat Georgia when it counted.

It all comes down to if you want the 4 best teams in the playoffs, or the 4 teams with the best records. A case could be made for both, but I want to see the 4 best teams, and Alabama qualifies as one of those.

I think the 4 best teams would be:

OSU
Michigan
Alabama
Georgia
(Not necessarily in that order) The powers that be would never allow two teams from two different conferences in the playoffs while leaving two undefeated teams out. (FSU and Washington) Then you have the problem of Texas, who proved they were very good.

I hate a 12 team playoff scenario coming up next year, but this is the one year in which it could be justified.
