It’s harder for us old guys. My memories go back to early 70s. I remember the blocked kicks in the Punt Bama Punt game vs Auburn in ‘72. For those who don’t know the story, Bama was undefeated 10-0 and ranked #2. Lost 17-16. I was 7.
No specific play but I remember Johnny Musso running with that #22 cutoff tear-away jersey.
I also remember Lynn Swann’s diving, falling catch from Bradshaw against the Cowboys in Super Bowl X in 1976. It’s been replayed a million times so most have seen it but I was watching live with my dad. One of the greatest you’ll ever see. He had several more in that game almost as good.
Bama vs Penn State Goal Line Stand in ‘79 stands out.
