I said Liberty should have gotten SOME consideration. That's all they would ever get, and that is part of what is wrong with CFB. The portal, unlimited transfers, and general corruption being another issue ...

Florida State also got some consideration.
They were dead last in at least two of the (actual, real) five criteria used by the committee.
Another year, they get in. This year, there were too many teams in contention and they lost out because they were scored the lowest.
Terrible for those kids and coaches. But the school and their conference have had chances in the past to improve their odds of making a playoff and chose not to.

Liberty beat New Mexico State this season. Twice!
New Mexico State throttled Auburn in Jordan Hare. Auburn played Alabama and Georgia really close and should have beat Alabama.
So New Mexico State is as good as Alabama and Georgia.
And Liberty beat them twice.
Liberty is getting hosed in this deal.
