Texas fan, here's my list.
1) Georgia - Two straight nattys is outstanding, best program in America the last 3 years and Kirby is young enough to keep it going for a while.
2) Alabama - Speaks for itself
3) Oklahoma - I put OU over Texas, they beat us this year and OU will be just fine in the SEC. Just note, though, OU's program is built on hiring assistants w/Oklahoma being their first HC job. That worked great in the Big 8 and Big 12, we will see if it works long term in the SEC.
4) Texas - If we win the natty, I will put Texas at #3 because frick OU. Long term, does Sark stay at Texas if he does get a title or does the NFL offer him a way out of the hellscape that is NIL and the portal?
5) LSU - Great program, great coach, not going anywhere
6) Tennessee - Big year for Heupel, will see if 2022 was the sign of things to come or a flash in the pan
7) Ole Miss - Kiffin can keep them competitive but will never win anything.
8) Auburn - Freeze can flat coach, can he win enough to jump into the top-5?
9) Florida - Sunshine Billy is in real trouble and probably won't make it. Still a great job for the next coach.
10) Texas A&M - Underperforming for 50 years, Elko won't change that.
11) Kentucky - Outkicks their coverage in football. I do wonder if Mark Stoops says no to the Iowa job when it comes open, though.
12) Missouri - Solid 2023, but program doesn't have the juice to do it year in and year out.
13) Arkansas - Legitimately should be higher on the list. Tons of passion and money, but keeping Pittman another year means they are not doing immediately what will be done eventually.
14) South Carolina - Just lucky to be here.
15) Miss State - RIP Pirate
16) Vandy - Baseball school that exists to provide the SEC with FOIA protection.
