Well- I’ll start with the complaints- as a fan and consumer—-
I don’t like not having a home game in October.
5 home games to start the year is really odd and makes the travel and hotel budget a real nutcracker for those of us coming from out of town. Not likely able to come to every damn weekend. Sheesh.
Two BYE weeks is weird.
Now a positive-
If we get our crap together- we could, COULD, have a season to be proud of-

What am I missing here? How does this affect hotel prices?

October is my favorite month for games, makes me sad we have zero at home.
Also, as an out of town tailgater/game attendee, 5 in a row is terrible.

It's happens every time Labor Day falls on the 1st or 2nd of September. 2008, 2013, 2014, 2019 all had 2 bye weeks.
2025 will be the same way with Labor Day on Sept 1st.
