Looks like BK is looking for another dual threat QB in the portal with JD leaving.

LSU fans, is Kelly in the market for depth or is your offense built for dual threats vs pass pro QBs? Found it interesting.

It’s built to beat A&M.

They're going to bring in another quarterback to compete with Nuss.

Next man up behind Nuss is a redshirt freshman and there's no reason to not bring in someone more experienced if possible.

I thought you guys already had depth at that position.

LSU needs depth
Nuss is the starter but if you can bring in a depth piece with the opportunity for him to compete when Nuss moves on than you are in much better shape if Nuss were to go down with injury
If Morris sees what LSU did with Daniels and is willing to come apprentice under Nuss than be the guy and have 2 years to prove himself than I think that's a better security blanket to have for 2024 season.

What offenses aren't built for dual threat qbs? Why would any offensive coach not want a qb that can adlib and escape pressure? Pocket passers are becoming dinosaurs

Nah, finally getting some young depth there.

Will probably try to take one or two and ride with what we have.

There were basically just walk ons when BK was hired.

Good because Louisiana is known for high level CB play in high school. LSU should never be portal shopping for CBs

They should be in a good spot by 2025.

It's reallly tough to compete with only freshman and sophomore corners in the SEC.

Also need better coaches for the secondary, hopefully that's addressed in the coming weeks.

Depth. If Nuss were to go down, Rickie Collins is not ready.

In the age of the transfer portal you need two QBs ready to go. I think our offense will be elite with Denbrock running the show. He seems to switch up the scheme based on his players

We had Nuss behind Jayden. Our heisman QB is graduating and Nuss will be QB1 with a 4 star QB at third string

Are you dumb or stupid

I remember him being decent as a true freshman. Is the Nuss bus losing hype?

I don’t think so. Nuss didn’t get much meaningful playing time this year and the third string got none. Why not take a starter at a lower program to “compete” so if Nuss gets injured we aren’t relying on a guy wet behind the ears
