Probably, but that didn't happen.. With 4 spots for 5 P% conferences the only surprising thing is that this hasn't happened before. A precedent was going to be broken either way:

1. No undefeated P5 conference champion has been left out.
2. The SEC champion has never been left out.

The bottom line is that after watching FSU's offense in it's last 2 games, no one on the committee thought they had a chance to win it all, ala TCU last year.

No doubt, and it's a fair argument.

However, every team looks like shite at times and I don't know that I like the committee deciding on which injuries matter and don't matter.

Hell the real question isnt about Bama being in its how the hell they left FSU out and left Washington in. Look at hteri SOS and their wins. They eeked out at least 7 games in the last several minutes against the likes of Arizona, Wazzu, Stanford, Oregon state. Hell the win at ASU, ASU literally gave them the W. Their only quality wins are oregon and oregon again. Thats the real problem. It shouldve been Michigan, UT, Bama and FSU/UGA as a toss up. Washington is the imposter in this situation.
