I've read that he is transferring because he wasn't guaranteed a spot to start in the bowl game. I guess his performance in the Michigan game knocked him out of favor with the coaching staff but the guy is young and he played pretty well most of the year and in big games. However he will be a hot commodity in the portal of he does indeed leave.

Stroud was a much better QB with better receivers and he still got stomped by Michigan twice, both much worse than McCord, and was never in danger of getting benched by the same coaching staff.
Wonder what else may be going at OSU.
