To add to this, a coach mentioned to me that one issue is different team cultures.

Not that any are bad per se, but now you've got new guys in the locker room from several different schools who have differing ideas of what's important (based on how they've already been coached).

It's much harder to get everyone to buy in cohesively as a result, as opposed to "well here's how I do it," because that one guy thinks he's going to the NFL, and his new coach doesn't understand.

Yeah, I've heard Burrow and Daniels say that when they first arrived on campus it took them that first season to really feel comfortable with the rest of the team to step up and take on that leadership role because they hadn't earned that level of trust and respect yet (paraphrasing obviously)
