How does the SEC not being good this year weigh on Heisman voters?

I've been hearing a lot of SEC Rant dot com that the SEC was not good this year. That made me think that the incredible numbers from Jayden Daniels may be fluffed by all the inferior competition he played. Several bad decisions by JD led to FSU running away with the game despite putting up numbers.
Wonder if the voters will respect Michael Penix Jr's numbers against stiffer Pac-12 competition in 2023?

I wonder if there will be backlash against the SEC representative after the decision to put a SEC team into the playoffs. Would be travesty if so.

Never underestimate the ability of an Alabama fan to fabricate a strawman argument.

Sec wasn't good in 2019.

I think it should weigh heavily. Penix should win the Heisman by your logic and I agree. Since the SEC was trash this year, I don't believe the conference deserved a team in the playoffs.

Well, didn’t JDaniels rush for 163 yards, pass for 219 yards and account for 3 TDs vs. Bama’s defense in just three quarters?
Just sayin’.
Just sayin’.

The SEC was so bad on defense this season that if an SEC player wins it the Heisman deserves an * this season.
