Should Have Been 8 Teams From The Start

How many of you bitched and moaned that “8 is too many”? 4 spots for 5 conferences was always stupid. Should have been 8 spots, conference champs in automatically, 3 remaining spots go to the highest ranked teams that are not champions (this year it would have been UGA, OSU, Oregon). The fact 4 spots was ever agreed to is dumb.

Whoever were the morons that initially settled on 4-team playoff with five power conferences should get most of the blame.

It’s ironic that the PAC 12 and Big 12 became relevant the year before it didn’t matter. These 2 conferences always bailed out this crazy setup.
