Imagine if the shoe is on the other foot and Bama was like FSU -undefeated in all games but loses their starting QB at the end of the season.
Do they get left out? Of course not! The committee would never frick Bama over that way. The Bama (TM) brand is too strong.

In 2018 we knocked Tua out of the game and Hurts had to finish…and nobody knew if he’d be back. Bama didn’t lose their #1 spot.
Not a great example b/c Hurts is pretty good….but still.
