Outside of money, is there a reason conferences couldn't make officiating a full time job? These TV deals are in the billions of dollars now...you would think they could deploy a very small amount of that to employing officials. It's crazy to think a sport that commands so much revenue leaves game-changing decisions in the hands of part time workers.

The player who grabbed Aubies face mask was the one who was pushed in the back. He already had an arm out so perhaps the push in the back caused the face mask. Ref couldn’t have seen this in real time obviously. The penalties should have offset. It didn’t decide the game, either way.

They are going to need to do something because of betting. What happened last night in UGA-GT affected the spread in a major way. I don’t think the refs were doing it because of that. I think they were doing it to help ACC look better especially after Louisville’s loss. However, these conferences are going to find themselves across the table from a federal lawyers with the betting implications.
