The SEC has only one representative with any SEC affiliation on the CFP committee

Nice job Sankey making sure the SEC has strong representation on the committee. It’s basically a wine a cheese gathering of midwestern, northeastern, and west coast alums.

Sankey is worthless.

What’s there to represent?
SEC Champion will get a spot.
SEC Champion will get a spot.

You sure? If Bama beats UGA both teams will be on pins snd needles on selection day wondering if either gets in.

This committee probably thought Iowa Nebraska was a slugfest of elite defensive play and that this is finally the year Oregon’s offense can blow out an SEC playoff team.

Barring other chaos, Georgia should have zero expectations of getting in in that scenario.

Alabama will be ranked 8th after this week.
They won’t drop the loser of The Game behind Alabama. Alabama needs Oregon, Texas, and FSU to lose to have a shot to get in.

Always has been
You guys bought it hook, line, and sinker
CFP was all about getting more NON SEC schools in. 4 was the crack in the door, 12 is the way to lock the SEC out.

I mean, UGA as a 1-loss non-champion would have no case for a CFP appearance if everything else is chalk. Same for the B1G and PAC CCG losers.

Or Alabama coulda beat Texas?

The big ten has always had the upper hand which is why Penn state always get the benefit of the doubt …. There just isn’t any way you can justify them being ranked where they have been .

Again why you people keep saying one loss sec champ is in ….. it would take a miracle at this point for that to happen.

12-team playoff will average 3 SEC teams per year. Sometimes 4.

All that REC $ was used up on SEC officials

I don’t think the sec champ gets left out
Best case scenario is fsu loses a game
A one loss Louisville is not getting in over sec
A one loss pac 12 champ and a one loss Texas deserve a spot

Obviously, because Georgia is gonna win. But if Bama somehow wins, they won't get in. They were embarrassed at home. There's no coming back from that.

Bama would have a better win than anyone in the country and would get in as a one loss champ
I would be shocked if they don’t get in that way

It matters for OSU when they opened at #1. Per the committee they had to be #1 because of their top wins(ND and PSU).
Michigan opened at #3 for absolutely no reason at all.
Oregon has zero top 25 wins and are FIRMLY ahead of Texas and Alabama who have what, 6 between them?
Almost nothing can happen to put Alabama in the top 4.
ETA: I was on it after the first CFP poll and after the 2nd won it should have been obvious to everyone. I’ve been screaming this since the first poll.
