Haven’t seen Nix play one snap this season so who knows. However, just look at Joe Burrow 2018 vs. Joe Burrow 2019. So it’s very possible.

I have. He's better than Daniels.

You mean he can actually read a defense and isn't playing backyard ball like JD?

Maybe so, sounds like he’s got a great chance of winning the Heisman.

He is good.

But it's hard to deny watching Daniels play that he isn't one of the best athletes ever to play D1 QB.

3000+ yds passing and 1000+ yds rushing with a .200+ rating, that's a Heisman in any year.

Nix is deserving as well in almost any year.

It's going to come down to a few things.
Do voters bias themselves, as in past years, to preference the best player on the best team? If so, Nix gets their vote.

Do they dive deeper to account for SOS and seek to find the most "outstanding" player most important to their team? If so, Daniels gets their vote.

Exposure and hype matter. Which school/conference starts to promote their contenders? Oregon getting an extra high-profile game on CCG weekend will be hard to overcome if Nix keeps pace and gets even with Udub. LSU must roll out a campaign to give him the shot he deserves.

The odds are tight right now, and it's a two-horse race.

Regional voting will be interesting. Daniels is likely absorbing a lot of #3 picks in Pac country due to Penix and Nix, which would be costly, as there isn't a justifiable #2 pick for Southern voters to counter with or an equal amount of voters regionally.

Midwest cleaned up some, with McCarthy possibly playing his way out of serious consideration. What the Midwest and NE do with Harrison, Jr compared to Nix or Daniels will be monumental.

Big 12 country is wide open. Daniels needs to win it there.

If both Nix and Daniels stay healthy and keep serve with production, it will likely be one of the closest Heismans in a long time.

I hope JD5 pulls it off. The kid is special. Both are deserving, but Daniels, to me, is the best choice. He shouldn't be held accountable for a defense that has killed any chance the team may have had to be successful, but, unfortunately, he likely will be.
