This is one of those years where it's bad the SEC is down. The SEC absolutely needs UGA to win out to have a team in the CFP.
If Texas wins out I do not see Bama getting in, even if they win out. Texas will also be conference champions, also have 1 loss and also has the head to head over Bama. Sorry Bama but regular season games matter, you shouldn't have lost that game to Texas in September.
Whether we like it or not the facts are either Ohio State or Michigan are going undefeated and will win the Big Ten. That team is automatically in. If Florida State goes undefeated and wins the ACC they are automatically in. And considering the Pac-12 is a far superior league to the SEC this year either an undefeated Washington or a one loss Oregon is automatically in.
Florida State is the best hope right now, in the sense that maybe Louisville trip them up in the ACC Championship Game and knocks them out of the CFP.
But flat out, if UGA wins out the CFP is the following:
Ohio State/Michigan, Florida State, Georgia, Washington/Oregon (Texas and Alabama left out).
If Bama beats UGA in the SEC Championship Game:
Ohio State/Michigan, Florida State, Washington/Oregon, Texas (Georgia and Alabama left out).
The SEC is not going to get the benefit of the doubt it does most years. The league is simply down this year.
