I'm not complaining. Just asking a question. Perhaps there is a very good answer out there.

Television networks were traditionally based in New York (Eastern), so the times of national broadcasts have traditionally included Eastern times.

It is really that simple.

I don’t know if there is a good answer out there, for you. But in my career to eliminate doubt of what time zone, it is, people usually default to the eastern time zone. That also starts with the first people to watch tv that day, which will be mostly Eastern time zone people.

There’s more to it. But if you can’t see beyond that, then, OK.
