Just read post through and saw Myktide beat me to it and did a better job explaining the misery. Coldest game I ever watched was Mississippi State/Alabama in Tuscaloosa in 1997.
Coldest game ever was playing in high school, also in Bryant Denny, last game of the season. Was a 7 pm kickoff, windchill was below freezing at kickoff. Fierce north wind. By the end of the game the temp was below freezing too. Get all hot and sweaty, then freeze on sidelines. Repeat for 3 hours. Just not fun.
