As is normally the case who is most likely to be one of the 4 best teams in the country after 12 or 13 games? Does Texas beat Alabama now in a nuetral site game? Unlikely. Does anyone not named Alabama beat UGA anywhere? Unlikely. As was the case last year and the year before that Alabama and UGA are the best teams in the country in November, maybe not in September in the case of Alabama but by the second week of December if Alabama still has only one loss there is little doubt that Alabama and UGA would beat anyone in the nation given a month to prepare and get healthy. The winner of the SECG gets in. If UGA wins the SEC no one is beating UGA. If Alabama wins the SECCG UGA doesn't get in without some help but there is little doubt that Alabama would beat anyone with a month to prepare and get healthy.

Tezas deserves the spot over Alabama, let's just be fair about this.

Oregon? Meh. Alabama's SOS will be much better and their resume tops the Ducks at that point. It would be hard for the committee to justify putting them in over a 12-1 Bama.
