FYI, in the latest ranking of all 133 FBS teams by The Athletic, NMSU comes in at #60
other AU opponents, from lowest to highest:
#120 UMass
#111 Vandy

so, in the estimation of their algorithm, NMSU will be the best team we will have faced thus far that hasn’t already beaten us
that said, i think we pull it out, but not by as wide a margin as some might think

I question the algorithm a little bit then… NM St has not faced a P5 team all season… and they’ve been outgained in quite a few of their wins.
That said, it’s a classic trap game… and auburn coming off back to back road games.
41-17… kinda like WKU last yr. I just don’t see this defense giving up 20 pts without some turnovers by the offense (which isn’t out of the question).
