Is there anything driving this narrative? I hadn't ever heard this prior to this search, but admittedly don't follow ND football.

If Freeman has actually reached out I think it’s a classic case of a guy using us for an extension to firm up his job security. I don’t see him actually leaving, not for us at least

ND treats Freeman like an iterim coach. He had Ludwig hired, and the ND admin balked at the buyout. He hasn't had much support from ND, kind of like Kelly complained about.

Freeman is a stud coach, and we would be lucky to get him. Supposedly he reached out to us.
