Honestly, it appears to me Georgia gets a lot of respect nationally.

I often don't agree with the OP, but he's correct here; in part, the LSU part was just a troll.

It's not a bad sign. It's just a realization that UGA isn't a blue blood. Also, the anti-SEC bias is natural for a $$$-oriented approach. Football is dying outside of SEC, TX, and OU country. It needs a broad national resurgence.

The B1G has its usual horse in the OSU. The media is propping up the perpetually propped-up UM. The absolute travesty is out west. This, "let's give the PAC a great, albeit undeserved, send-off," is ridiculous. Oregon is good, but has beat no one. The traction they got out of a blowout of Utah with a backup QB is ridiculous, let alone a close loss vs a team with a schedule full of close wins. For fricks sake, Arizona made a huge jump into the polls as a 3 loss team. It's just dumb.

Never thought I'd see a 1 loss SEC in need of help to get into the top 4. Or, a two time and undefeated defending champ slip to #2. That happened to Bama in the 60s, but that was tied to the systemic racism across the South (to which I'm not denying) that Bama was held as the culprit for all in the medias eyes.

But now, it's genuinely almost disrespectful. It's the conference that built modern football TV contracts, facility standards, salary and TV $$$.
